Sunday May 6th, Corsica River Yacht Club on the Chesapeake’s picturesque and tranquil Eastern Shore will host our inaugural, one day, Corsica River Spring Regatta. The regatta will be hosted at Corsica River’s Ship Point and run inside the Corsica, as opposed to out in the Chester. This will make for a very convenient and short sail out to the course.
Corsica River Yacht Club is a great place to sail with a lot of open water, very limited motor boat chop, easy beach launching and plenty of grass on which to park, rig, camp and just hang out. We would be very pleased if you would join us at the regatta, CRYC will work very hard to ensure that it is an enjoyable day for you. Though this is the inaugural event I am sure that it will have the same laid back yet competitive atmosphere that you expect at Corsica River, including dinner at the club after sailing.
Camping is highly encouraged and is free. Ship Point is an extremely tranquil spot to camp. If you have a cruising boat we have a very protected anchorage at the club. We are less than an hour’s drive from Annapolis, just over an hour’s drive from the Delaware Memorial Bridge, and easily accessible from the Southern Bay, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Please see the NOR on our Web site for additional details http://www.cryc.org/.
I very much hope that you can make it out. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance or can answer any questions. Hopefully see you then.
Sincerely,
Nicholas
