PRSA’s Annual Hangover Regatta

Join us on the first day of 2011 for PRSA’s Annual Hangover Regatta. There’s no better way to nurse a hangover, or recover from yet another challenging year, than by celebrating with the PRSA Laser fleet and racing with us on the Potomac River. The regatta is FREE. Skippers meeting will be at 12:00, first race at 12:45 and no races to start after 3:30. Visit the regatta website for the details and to pre-register. The PRSA Laser fleet hopes to see you blurry eyed on the water.

Check out the NOR and register online at the Hangover Regatta website.

2010 PRSA Hangover Regatta Results

We had a fabulous day of racing New Years Day! Temps were in the 40F’s and winds were around 8 to 12MPH. We had a total of 22 boats participate. Winds were coming out of the north so the RC set up a course in the cove with the start line just north of the docks. There were 6 races on an Olympic course. Erich Hesse won the day with Dave Teale taking second and Robert Bennett taking third place. Big thanks to our great RC, Mike Heinsdorf, Tom Berlin, Barney Harris, Lee Sayasithsena and Latte. They did a great job and kept the course square all day. See links below for results, pictures and video.

2007 PRSA Hangover Regatta

Per tradittion, the PRSA Laser fleet will be welcoming a new year with a 12pm skipper’s meeting followed by a day of Laser frostbiting in DC’s backyard. The racing will begin promptly at 12:30pm. Awards will go 3 deep for Laser Full and 2 deep for Radials (if 3 or more show up). After racing, hang out and drink a few beers (BYOB).
