2004 Sunshine Open Results

The 32nd annual Laser Sunshine Open took place last weekend at Severn
Sailing Association in Annapolis, MD with 48 boats competing. U.S. Naval
Academy student Jeff Sharp (10 points) won the regatta. Second place went
to Bob Oberg (Annapolis, MD). Oberg and Sharp tied on points, with the
nod going to Sharp. Third place, and one point out of the gold went to
Jason Currie (Annapolis, MD).

Diane Burton (Annapolis, MD) finished 13th overall and was the top female.
Top Master and 5th overall was Alden Shattuck (Annapolis, MD). The top
Junior award (23rd overall) went to Andrew Eyring.

One notable highlight from the regatta was the presence of two time Laser
World Champion John Bertrand. Unfortunately he was only able to attend
the first day of racing.
